When Desiree became a Realtor, she quickly determined she wanted to work with quality. She demands nothing less in her life, and believes her clients deserve only the best.
Exceptional Homes. Desiree’s homes are not commodities. They are unique, built with integrity and finished with special detail. Desiree’s extensive work with high-end builders allows her to confidently assess what you can and cannot see, assuring clients of the value they will be receiving for their investment.
Exceptional Service. Buyers and Sellers of higher priced homes have more at stake, and therefore higher demands. Therefore, Desiree makes an explicit promise to provide Exceptional Service.
Through Desiree’s eyes, Buyers will better appreciate the distinctiveness of a prospective property. They will also understand its flaws. After all, price alone is not an accurate indication of quality. Desiree’s clients make well-informed decisions.

What Do Martial Arts Have to Do with It?
Desiree has an unusual avocation. She has long been involved in the martial arts. As with her other endeavors, she excelled in this pursuit. She was awarded a 2nd degree black belt and won a Tae Kwon Do National Championship.
Tae Kwon Do is more than physical exercise. It encompasses life-leading tenets of Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Perseverance, and Indomitable Spirit.

A Real Estate Consultant – A Brief Biography
Desiree was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she worked as a project manager in her family Consulting Firm. Later, she ran her own Management-Consulting firm. Desiree specialized in helping small business owners, and enjoyed the positive impact she could have on individuals’ lives.
In 1996, Desiree moved her family to Chapel Hill, where she continued to help small business owners as a consultant. Although she continued to love helping people through her work, by 1998 Desiree had tired of the traveling required, so she looked for a way to apply her skills and experience locally.
Consulting with folks on their Real Estate needs was the perfect solution. Consultants help people determine what they need, and how to get what they want. Now Desiree could help people on a more personal level, while staying put in the community she had come to love so much.
The career change also allowed Desiree to spend more time with her family - her 18-year-old daughter Alexis and 13-year-old son Steele - and become involved in the community, serving as past PTA Co-President at Frank Porter Graham Elementary and Carrboro Elementary.
Desiree is currently serving on the Chapel Hill Carrboro Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee and the Economic Development Committee. She serves as a liaison to the Chamber for the Greater Chapel Hill Association of Realtors.
Desiree is serious about providing Exceptional Service. She has earned recognition and garnered advanced educational designations that few real estate agents achieve.
Past Secretary, Chapel Hill Board of Realtors – It is the highest complement when ones peers look to you for leadership. Desiree Chairs the local Board of Realtors Public Outreach Committee and was elected to serve as Secretary for the organization. She is giving of her time to the Realtor community and they are gaining her expertise, as well.
Currently serving on Association’s Education Committee.
Licensed Broker – Advanced post-licensing education is required for this highest-level professional North Carolina license.
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) - The benchmark of excellence in buyer representation, this coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) - The mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation from the National Association of REALTORS. REALTORS with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.
Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) - The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing exists to help real estate professionals provide high quality service to the buyers and sellers of luxury homes. Extensive training about and experience with high-end real estate is required before earning this designation. Desiree was the first general broker Realtor in this area to achieve this recognition.
